Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes at Valfré?
Get to know our head Graphic Designer, Alicia Wolf, and learn a little about what she does and what she loves about working at Valfré!
What’s your name and what do you do for Valfré?
I'm Alicia Wolf, and I'm the Graphic Designer at Valfré.
What do your days usually look like in the office? What are you working on now?
I feel like there is no 'usual.' Everyday is really different. Somedays it's all meetings and discussion, somedays I'm working on new products, somedays it's all web-based work.
Right now we're gearing up for new launches, as well as re-vamping the entire website. It's been photo editing day and night. There's also a lot of meetings as to how to elevate everything to the next level this year and what we want to accomplish in 2017.
What’s your favorite thing about working at Valfré?
Not to be a sap but... my coworkers. I'm lucky enough to spend everyday working with my best friends. That and the fans – it's nice being handed a creative outlet that already has such a established and loving platform and having anything I do reach an expansive audience.
How did you get started at this brand?
I answered the vaguest Craigslist ad ever. [laughs] I think it literally said, "Fashion company seeking Graphic Designer" and then contact info – no location, no brand name or info. Definitely thought it might be a lure to my death, but I was desperate for work at the time so I went for it and it ended up being Valfré.
How would you describe your style? What’s your favorite item in the store?
All over the place. Experimental for sure. I think I like keeping a foundation of classic basics and then adding touches of 60's/70's flare or glam rock/punk aspects through accessories. I love androgyny and juxtaposing what's considered 'feminine' and 'masculine.' I've been really digging looking like a little boy from the 60's lately – I've been living in a page boy hat, turtleneck and blazer combo for months.
Might be a little biased, but I love the Alicia dress. I also have been rocking the Celestial choker a lot – I think it adds a perfect edge to every single band tee I own. That being said, there's a couple mesh and turtleneck bodysuits coming out soon that might take the cake.
