What's In The Stars: March Horoscopes

Lots of cosmic energy will be happening this month due to multiple planet alignments.  Take a break from the being overwhelmed by all of the craziness happening in the US and do something positive with your time. Here are some ideas to get started!


Send a thank you to someone different each day for the next month. You can do this through text, email, note, etc. Be specific when writing your thank you note, and tell them why and how you have an affinity for them. Trust, they will be forever grateful of you and most likely return the gratitude. It also helps you realize how lucky you are to have the people you do have in your life. Even if it’s your mom, and you already tell her how thankful you are everyday, point out something special about her to remind her how beautiful and resilient she is.


Write about one positive experience you had today, and everyday for the rest of the month. Go into detail about your experience, try and provide a mental picture. That way when you go back and read it you can experience the dreamy feelings that you felt at that exact moment. Try and be as descriptive as possible by including sensory details like; sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. Savor the experience, consciously and mindfully take note of the little details in the moment that contributed to feelings of pleasure, positivity, and happiness.   


Identify a transgression that you committed, and apologize. This can be extremely tough to do, but once you cross that hump, it’ll feel like the biggest weight has lifted off your back. Plan to meet with that person, buy them lunch and talk over everything that happened. They will appreciate you reaching out and making the effort, and hopefully continuing a stronger relationship.


Start a dream journal this month! If you happen to remember what you dream about, write down all of the details. The more specific you can get, the better. Also, don’t just stick to writing down dreams you have in your sleep, write down dreams you constantly think about when you’re awake. This will help get all your thoughts get organized. Once you are organized, you can focus on other things, instead of just crumbling away in your own thoughts.


Aim to be an inspiration this month. Help someone out if you see they are in need of help. You can inspire someone by simply doing something kind, or making a kind gesture. It is inspiring just seeing others being genuinely friendly towards others. Become a part of something, join us for the Women’s Day March in support of all our sisters. Anything you are passionate about, make a mark, and use your voice!



Start singing out loud, and dancing your heart out in your room. It is almost meditative because you’re just so focused on the rhythm of the music. This activity can be especially useful when you’re feeling down, step aside from whatever it is you are doing and dance it out. You’ll notice how uplifted you feel after, and a positive change in perspective.


You have noticed yourself being a bit more negative than usual lately. To try and combat this habit, start jotting down three things that you are grateful for on the daily. These three things could be as small as the cup of coffee you had this morning, or the butterfly that happened to fly by you as you were walking to your car. The more you pay attention to the smaller things, the smaller the bigger problems will seem.


Find things to compliment people on. From their attire to their way of being. Shedding light and positivity on someone else will help reciprocate that into your own life. You’ll feel better and do better.


Make and effort this month to go out of your way and do something nice for someone. This someone doesn’t particularly have to be someone you know, it could be a stranger. Take coffee to your co-worker in the morning, or send a handwritten letter to your best friend expressing your gratitude for them. Bringing joy into others life will organically bring joy into your life as well.


It's hard to be vulnerable, whether it’s with yourself or someone else. We seem to indulge ourselves in external things in order to distract ourselves from any negative feelings we are having. However, when you numb those feelings, you are also numbing out the positive and happy feelings. Instead of numbing everything out, let yourself process all the negative. Write it down, or call your most trusted friend. Being able to process everything will help you get on a better track.


Try going twenty-four hours without complaining. Think of it as a game, if you catch yourself complaining even once, start the 24 hours all over. Even if you have a negative thought, replace it with a positive thought. For example, if you’re in school and thinking, “this class is so hard I don’t know how I am ever going to pass and become successful,” replace it with, “I am so lucky to have the opportunity to go to school and challenge myself through learning rigorous material.” Challenging yourself not to complain for 24 hours will help keep your thoughts positive naturally in the long run.


Your month is looking more creative than usual, figure out how you can use your artwork to make a mark. Whether you make a zine, or picket signs, you can showcase your work and voice!
