Playami - A stroll through Ilse's childhood neighborhood with Esmeralda.

PLAYAMI

It was mid-summer, and I was back in my hometown of Playas De Tijuana, visiting family. We had just received the latest samples, and I was walking to grab a coffee, lost in thought about who I might shoot the new drop with.

As I walked, out of nowhere, Esmeralda appeared on the same street I grew up on.  She looked like one of my characters and I couldn't help but approach her and introduce myself, asking if she’d be interested in modeling. She turned out to be the sweetest soul, and I’m so grateful she obliged.

I’m beyond happy with how the photos came out; I feel they truly capture the essence of my childhood neighborhood. Thank you to everyone who continues to support my art. I’m so thankful for you all!
